Day 6 right im on a mission

Well ive woke up today popped my morning champix pill and had firmly placed in my mind that today was the day that i quit.Made myself a nice cuppa coffee and didnt have a craving for a fag but think its more a habit than anything but i so far havent succumbed which is amazing for me as normally by now id be smoking my 5th.So wish me luck,gonna be hard after smoking 40 a day which seems like forever but determined with the help of champix i can do this x

    I'm on day 10 of champix and have set my quit day for day 12!!!! I too was a 40 a day smoker so on days 6/7 I cut myself down to 20 then on days 8/9 I only allowed myself 10, today I'm allowing myself 5, same tomorrow then it's stop day. With the help of champix I have managed this ok and am hoping my stop day will come and go with little problems.

  • thanks,i was gonna wait till day 8 when i was on the 1mg tabs but yesterday fags tasted just awful and i kept having a few puffs then putting themm out so decided to try and give them a miss altogether today.Already thinking i must watch my weight ate breakfast today for the first time in 20 years lol.keep it up just think of all the cash we ll be saving 280.00 a month for me.give it three months then gonna book a holiday with it xx

  • Congrats on your first smoke free day! Mornings can be a real pain in the bum. I make a nice cuppa, eat breakfast, brush my teeth and shower and that helps me ease into my day usually. Take care of yourself and listen to your body and before you know it you won't even be missing them :)

    How is your first day smoke-free going.
