Regaining control

Well Hello......I know this is very difficult and some days it seems impossible. This is my 7th time to quit!! However this has actually been the easiest....I am on day 5. It is still hard don't get me wrong.....but the more times I quit the easier it gets. I have been using the nicorrett gum this time...2-3 pieces a day. One thing I have noticed is I am almost starting to enjoy having a craving and not giving in to it. It has given me a sense of cotrol over this awful thing! I know...I must not have it completely under control if I am chewing the gum but every time I even consider having a cig I think about how much I hate it...the smell..the need to do it....the waste of time...the taste. I know too that "just one" will lead me back to the self loathing I have felt for the past 2 years when I started smoking again!

Has anyone ever used the nicocure products? I would like to switch to that when I am off a medication I am taking and I didn't want to mix an herbal med with it.

I have done a few sessions of hypnosis at home......it has actually helped some. It isn't the answer alone but I have noticed it has helped me.

:) Hanna

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Well done on day 5 you're doing fine I also didn't use gum so can't advice on that but lots on here have and will probaly be along later

well done on getting to day 5, I'm sure this one will be a keeper.

I haven't tried the gum but am using patches at the moment which apart from one day has really helped me (although i am only on day 8 so time will tell) I have also got the inhilator but only go through one cartrige every 3 days so not really using it too much.
