I'm not on Champix so I don't know the wide effects or if it will improve with time - though from previous posts I've read I think the symptoms lessen slightly? I think you may even have less symptoms - some people feel nauseous and have tummy cramps etc
Just wanted to say you're doing a great job so far getting to this point, but if you're really struggling with the medication then go back and talk to your doctor or smoking cessation advisor - not all forms of replacement therapy work for everybody.
Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good
You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
I also quit with the aid of Champix and found it really good I had a little nausea in the morning but just took it later and was OK
As for the tirdeness this isn't confined to just champix users lots of us get that but it will pass quickly as your body gets used to not having a diet of chemicals and starts to heal you'll feel much better so yes it will get better for you
Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
i was also very tired when i first gave up smoking, could have slept all the hours in the day if i had let myself. your post reminded me that the awful tiredness i felt have gone, and have been gone for quite a while, yippee
take the tablets and fight the tiredness as the tiredness is only a short term thing where as taking the tablets will make giving up easier.
my own personal view was what ever i had to go through in the first few days weeks was worth it to become a non smoker.
