Invest a little time....

While looking into my addiction and learning how I would beat it this time - I will not fail this time - I came across many websites. This one, of course which is still my favourite because of how friendly it is.... Woofmang where I still read often (Kevin is a huge inspiration and has just passed 90 months quit)... whyquit, a fantastic site full of facts and tales that will scare and inspire you... and countless others that I found on the Google search results.

Now, I don't agree with most at Woofmang and most at Whyquit that the only worthwile way to quit is Cold Turkey.... I think that whatever you feel you need to quit - be it NRT or Champix (which I used), or anything else - is just great..... however, you can only start a quit this way - you have to finish it on your own and the easiest way to do that in my opinion is to know exactly whats happening to you both mentally and physically.

I invested a lot of time and effort in understanding my addiction and learning to live with it without feeding it.

I strongly feel that this is the only way to guarantee success - know thy enemy.

I know I will never be free because I will always be an addict, but it is perfectly possible to life happily as an abstaining addict for the rest of my extended life.

This is Kevin's take on the time he invested - talesfromthequit.com/85-mon... - written on the occasion of his 85 month anniversary.

Please take the time to learn - I am living proof that it's worth it!
