I would love to know, went today and told her what had happened and how I had felt and she didnt understand:confused: Told her about the dreams I had been having and how I had felt when I had my blip the other day and she couldnt understand it or give me any advice. So think I will just go there when I have to so I can blow in to the co thingy and get my champix. Why cant they have ex smokers who have been through this running the clinics.
Anyway I am ok, Mark is brilliant it is his Calender Month today will get his fav take away tonight.
Five days, 2 hours, 25 minutes and 27 seconds. 153 cigarettes not smoked, saving £32.90. Life saved: 12 hours, 45 minutes.

Mine was worse than useless and was a SMOKER herself I found out one day when I misread my appointment time and got there early, she was outside smoking boy did she go red, I never went again where was the point but I did make a point of telling her she should quit
Guess what she's still there and still giving so called advice
My adviser was great, as I have said somewhere on here before. She was allways accessible on her mobile, and she was avallable to talk in a group or privately. Can't see what her drinking habits or size has to do with it BB, mine was good at her job, and that was all I needed.
We don't have quit nurses here.... I have never seen one of those CO thingys and I have never heard of a smoke (non-smoke?) clinic! No wonder I'm on this site

Hi Trendy
I wouldnt waste my time on any of those NHS quit smoking helplines or clinics with people that have never smoked. In my opinion anyone who hasnt been there and that includes all addictions be it hard drugs, alcohol, gambling and smoking etc , as well general life experience.... forget it, they cant understand completely... but thats just my opinion. Keep at it girl you are gonna do it..
Me and my wife both quit together using the no-smoking clinics and champix, as I have mentioned earlier in these forums my wife had a blip about 2 weeks ago and went through a 10 pack, but to her credit after the last one she stopped again and had done about 10 days smoke free when we went back to the clinic. All was going fine and dandy untill my wife confessed about the blip, the nurses attitude changed completely and told her it was dangerous to smoke whilst on champix and advised her to stop taking the pills and go on the patches instead. I found this appalling and told the nurse in no uncertain terms that this wasnt acceptable. I was then lectured about cost and will power blah blah blah. Anyway to cut a long story short I feel the nurses unsympathetic attitude has given my wife the excuse her addiction tells her to start smoking again. I hope I am wrong....
What that nurse said was appalling and not what was needed at all, what does the bloody cost matter
When I stopped champix at 8 weeks I saw dr as had to get prescriptions from her and not the nurse for health reasons [at the time]I'm fine now but I asked if I could stop them after 8 wks as kept forgetting to take them, she gave me another lot and said if I needed to go back on them and finish the course to do so
Thanks marg, I keep forgetting to take them too, in fact I have about 2 weeks worth up and above my prescription. Who would have thought when we started using champix that we would be in this position? smoke free, healthier and money in our pockets...
