Hi everyone

My name is Ali and I have been using champix for 11 days now and stopped for two...

I am 32 and have Smoked for 16 years, for the last year 20 a day...:mad: I have a 2 year old son and for him and so I am around to see his children it was time...I had also started to grow pretty bored of smoking but still couldn't stop..

I think champix is a miracle drug and wish I had known about it ages ago. Only really bad side effects I have had are tiredness and my stomach is bloated...but better than smelling of smoke and having a struggle walking up flights of stairs

Will be using this forum a lot I am sure so hope to chat to you all soon. Its inspiring reading the stories of success....

Hi Ali, and congratulations on your 2 days smokefree!, that is fantastic, this forum is a great place with lots of rearly nice people, im sure everyone will come along and welcome you too, there are link pages on some of the other peoples signatures which you can read and read that are full of information, advice and tips that will help you through your quit, post on here often and be proud of your decision to stop smoking, it will prove to be the best decision you have ever made!

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your decision to quit, a 2 year old son is a great reason to stop I wish I had stopped for my children when they were younger Good luck.

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

I also quit with the help of champix and it did make it much easier for me but as with any aid you'll still need willpower as well
