First Day Quitting!

first day today and Ive got nicotine patches and gum to help me! went to the gym for an hour and waited to get home before putting a patch on, big mistake as I was sorely tempted to just have one, thinking stuff it I will start again tomorrow. after over an hour of extreme grouchiness I went out to see family, had a gum and got over myself!!

good luck to everyone else, I know Ive got to succeed this time as I cant go on giving up every year and failing!!

:)

Welcome Moog and great, great job so far..... it seems you are prepared and that will help you be successful! Like Marg said, read up on as much as possible..... I tried to quit so many times and failed before but it was because I didn't really know what to expect and did not have anything in place such as this forum to get me over tough times.... you did really, really well today already with 'getting over your grouchiness' :) You were stronger than the nic demon :D Keep it up!!

Hi Moog - well done on deciding to quit and for finding this forum. I have stopped now for 2 months - thanks to this forum and because I educated myself about nicotine.

Keep posting and let us know how you're getting on.
