Hi all

well i am moving rooms tomorrow-into month 4, i decided to come off the nicotine gum last week, i found it similar stopping smoking all over again, however i cant work out if it was psychological or physical withdrawls, i was taking 6x 4mg gums every day, so i think it was withdrawls!!

a friend of mine told me to use 'airwave' gum and that helped-i know 'odd'

i truely feel like a 'non smoker' now, and have very few 'faint' cravings-alot less than when i was on the gum, i found the gum was extending my cravings rather than preventing them, however gum did have its place in the early days. :(

my sister has stopped smoking for 3 years and is still taking gum and relys heavily on it-i didnt want to be like that.

My other sister is stopping smoking mid february and is joining the forum-please make her welcome-which im sure you will!!!:p

i feel so much better-particularly today as my netball team won the cup today-we thrashed them!!! way-heyyyyyy!!!

:D

When I came off lozenges I was using about 5 X 1mg ones a day, and found it a bit awkward and weird but not too bad.

That said I was only taking in about 5mg a day as opposed to 24mg.

So I suspect that it was withdrawal!

Ahhhh... but it's for months 4 and 5.... I've just spent the last month in that room ;)

Not that it really matters, the only thing that matters is the quit.... and now you're nicotine free it must feel great!

:D

And not finished, but finished the back breaking turning over of heavy waterlogged compacted clay soil!

Got to dig down to lay a path now (I guess about 3/4 of a ton of earth to shift), build a fence and fit 2 gates... lay a lawn...

A mans work is never done!

yeh well as i said-'thick!'

im in the college netball team-and i felt so much better playing today-cant believe how much i was destroying my body with the fags! im just aware of complacency now- and keeping on my guard for ever emerging nic-demons

bet you feel better doing the garden(not smoking)-hard work shifting earth! i did my garden last year and its back breaking!!-even got a veggie patch and a greenhouse-loving it!! -i think its a great thing for children to get involved with my little nephew loves helping plant things and watch them grow-he even eats vegetables now, because he knows where they come from-sorry waffling !
