That sounds like a gross situation to be in, yuk.

i hope i have beaten this habit for good this time

Well that's up to you. Its as simple as just not putting another cigarette in your mouth ever again, and remembering that even if you are tempted it won't help you if you do smoke.

6 Weeks is a great milestone,

Very well done Tracy.

All the best

Nic

Noticed you have put "going it alone from today" at the bottom of your post.

Are you having problems with Champix are or you just trying to wean yourself off?

I am trying to cut down by having just one tablet a day now as I am finding the nausea in the morning a bit too much (Sorry but it's also playing havoc with another bodily function which I will not mention!!!) Having said this, I do not think I would have got this far without these tablets as over the past 20 odd years I have tried everything else under the sun to quit and nothing has worked as well.

Regards to everyone and good luck on your quit. Go for it and do not have one more puff. (Funnily enough I do not have any physical cravings but I am having to have serious talks with myself about the "just one will be OK" side of things.)

Regards

Bernie

Few details about myself:

Aged 50 (Female - some think Bernie is a male name)

Smoked 34 years

Quit: God knows how may times- tried acupuncture, Hypnotherapy, Cold Turkey, Patches, Gum, Inhalers, Fake Fag.....You name it. Currently on Champix and working.........!!

I am not having problems with the Champix - but I have stopped taking them, after a spell on 1 pill a day.

I just believe I am ready to go it alone, but I have found them to be wonderfully helpful.

There is a thread in the general section, I started it when I first thought about coming off and there is some great advice from others on there... you may find it helpful.

However, you must find your own way - but you seem to be going about things in a sensible way.

Not what you're looking for?
