Well, six days of no smoking now. Still having cravings, but did notice today a long stretch of time when I completely forgot about cigarettes. It's definitely a day to day battle still, but I've still got my eyes set on the future when it's a week to week then month to month battle!
Pressing on.

I found than in the first week, the improvements all round are so dramatic that you feel amazing - but the hard bits seem to keep you level... then suddenly it dawns on you that there aren't so many hard bits and you realise just how great you feel compared to a couple of weeks ago.
Once you start to see it, you notice every little thing and it's superb!
My last one - I was playing football with my son and some of his little toddler mates... running around like a loon and falling over, only to be pounced on by all these 2 year olds and tickled to death. Man, it was great fun!
It was only after an hour, when I got to stand still that I suddenly realised I wasn't out of breath at all.
No aches in the muscles, or pain in the lungs, or headache.
I certainly couldn't have done that a month before! I would have been dead after 10 minutes.
