I was genuinely sorry to read yesterday that you had caved.
That is a shame because you were so far on in your quit that i thought you must have had it sussed and were going strong. Just goes to show how on our guard we need to be all the time, even when we think we are sorted.
You will find the forum has changed, but not too much. There are some great newbies (who are fast becoming the oldies) who are very supportive.
Good luck this time and if you do feel like smoking just remember my old mantra!

Believe you me there is no-one more suprised then me at what I so stupidly did. The first one I hated - thought I was cured - then I just had to have another. Shamew on me.

Hi Sue, don't be too hard on yourself. It seems to be turning out that around the 8th & 9th month mark are the most dangerous times. :eek: I wonder why this is? :confused: You would think that by that time, it would have got very much easier - not become so hard that we relapse. The good thing is, you have jumped back on board again. This time, l just know that you will do it.
It's true - I am coming up for 8months, and till get a wee notion for a cigarette.
I ask myself, "Do you want just one puff or do you want to be back spending a fiver a day, and being a slave to Ol' Nic again?"

Hi Barbara & Josie - I know exactly what you mean as it happened to me. Had one little puff on holiday, then another and before I knew it I was spending a fiver a day. Thankfully I have come to my senses, plus the fact as soon as I started smoking I started to cough and getting short of breath. Not a good combination.

I think that one sentence is one of the most important in preventing relapse.
Because that is the fact of the matter, it is NOT a choice it as an absolute given that that is what will happen if you have just that one puff!!!!
