Yep, today marks 3 weeks since I smoked my last cigarette
The next time milestone is a month. 1 Month
Thank you everyone for your support, I probably would have done 3 weeks without this place - at least I hope so... but the people on here have made it much easier.
The support and the information here (and pointed to from here) is what is going to let me make this quit the one that lasts till the day I die.
Thanks again.
*rolls up his mattress, gathers his belongings and heads for the "first month" room with a spring in his step*

you are doing really well and should be very proud of your achievement.
You should also start to notice some real changes about this time in your quit which go a long way towards making you realise that it is all worth it!!!!

You mean a bit like....
No yellow fingers?
No yellow teeth?
Breathing better?
Sleeping better and needing less of it?
Black circles under my eyes (a permanent fixture for 20 years) have gone?
Can run for more than a few yards?
Run up long flights of stairs (the type of about 100 steps up a cliff)?
Taste and smell things so much better?
Skin is smoother and less clammy?
Hair is softer?
Clothes are fresher?
I'm generally happier and more confident?
I don't have to go to the shop every day?
I am not freezing cold and wet like all the smokers here at work? ( )
The mouth ulcers that I have suffered with almost constantly for the last 10 years have all gone?
The coughing, wheezing and snoring have all gone?
My eyes are not bloodshot?
My circulation has improved to the point where my legs/angles/feet/hip/back which were all badly damaged in an accident a long while ago and repaired with metal plates and screws finally do not hurt (they never stopped me doing anything but always caused me discomfort).?
My sex drive (and confidence, circulation again ) has improved?
My general mood is much better?
I can play with my son without getting out of breath?

That sort of thing, yeah?
As Brucey used to say "Didn't he do well"
Seriously, well done Stuart, I think we can cross you off the "may blip list"

I can assure you that I have absolutely no intention of "blipping". This is getting to be enjoyable, seriously. Every day I feel a little bit better and feel a little less like a smoker.
