Those milestones are just sitting up to be knocked over now! LOL
B X
Thanks Alan, Bill and Dubbs, I think you're all great too
It's 2 months Bill - but i'm going into the three month room, complicated filing system
(It's quiet here tonight, isn't it lovely - shhhh)
Hi Team
Am still here but feel that i'm only hanging on by a wee thread.
Have been having an argument with myself all week, have one, don't have one! Not sure if it is because I have gone down to 2mg of gum and lozenges or not.
Spoke to the doctor this week and if I fail with the NRT, she will give me champix.
I might be just having a bad few days, will ride it out for a few days......
Well done everyone for making it this far!!
Well done everyone on reaching the 3 month room! Congrats!
Della, sorry you're having a hard time again. We should all despise and hate this nasty drug that keeps clawing at people trying to claim them back. Don't let it draw you back, Della. You've done so well and it'd be a shame to have gone through 2 months only to let evil nic finally win you over Of course, you have to do what you have to do, but I'm just trying to spur you on with THIS quit...we'd all still be here for you should you start another one but try not to lose this one
Just rant on here if you need to. Gawd the amount of rants I had on this site during my first quit lol It did help though.
Good luck

Della, i don't mean to appear harsh but i honestly think our doctors are not necessarily the best people to be handing out non-smoking advice.
The only difference between confident & shaky 3 month quitters is their state of mind. No lotion, potion or drug is going to make that difference.
If you read enough, and there are so many links posted on this site, you'll know way more than your GP and hopefully change that wee thread for a 8 point harness with multiple anchors and a safety line...
Whatever YOU can find that works to stop YOU smoking today is the perfect solution.
Stay strong
Thanks guys for all your support and knowledge.... I know deep down you are all right but have to get my head back around this quit, I have stuff going on in my life at the moment and I know this has made me shakey but deep down I know that I would be even more depressed if I had one so for now will keep chewing and will read A Carr again and again and again.
Thanks anyway. x
Well done Wkd and the rest of the team!
3 months is a grand place to be. You'll find the months fly by now!
Congrats
Thanks everyone, I spent all day today in work feeling smuggity smug, and when anyone asked (they always do) 'Still off the smokes?' I would be all 'Yeah, a couple of months' tee hee *dances*
Be as smug as you like WKD!!! You deserve it and you should relish the smugness! haha
Oh my god! I've just had a weird twilight zone moment!!! I have battled all night to get this film '23' recorded onto dvd from my Sky Planner menu. Everytime I set it up to record it, one of the kids comes along and messes with the Sky making me start over from scratch again ggrrr
Now I have been meaning to do this for weeks now. I wanted to put it on dvd to take upstairs to watch in bed tonight.
Anywayz, just noticed on the Sky Guide that the film '23' just happens to be on Sky tonight!!! How weird is that?! Ok, maybe not weird to you...just me then...*stalks off*

OMG did she just huff with us before any of us could even call her weird?
Does she know us so well?

Haha that is always fun isnt it lol
Team 17
Sorry team, I'm really c*** at this aren't I!
Still off the fags and my Champix runs out in a few weeks, gone down to one a day in the morning.
The last week really has been abit weired, had that nilionth of a second thought of a fag or a drag, but then it passed. Weired!
Just another note on the £££ I have saved, I go abroad in Sept (end) and if I carry on, will have saved about £900 for the spends, how mad is that!!!!

Not at all Dunny.
If you think that you'll never think about fags again you're in for a shock.
There is however a massive difference between thinking about and longing for.
As i've said previously, i'm over 6 months in and a fag is still my first waking thought, it's also dismissed a nanosecond later.
I think it takes years sometimes to lose all your triggers. Now i don't give them a second thought.
Hi Team17
Site been down and it's been a while. Hope all is well and your treating yourself on the saved money! Just worked out, I go away in Sept and the saved money is getting one of us to Cuba free!!! Anyway just wanted to touch base and say HIIIIIII
Hi Dunny,
I quit in March but have only managed to save enough to fill up my petrol tank ( smoked roll ups )
Well done, have a great time in Cuba, watch out for the Cigars:eek:
