£200 for me and that's pre budget figures
How could we??????:confused::confused::confused:
to be honest a lot has changed in my household with regards to funds this year and i know i would not have been able to afford to smoke (well maybe roll ups, but i still dont have a tattoo and dont like pints!)
Everything has gone up, have had to buy a toy car (smart) as i was spending 400 quid a month on petrol  So no i have not saved a penny of my £400.00 and will not be having a big spend up.
But at least i gave up because i wanted to and not because i couldnt afford it - that would have been too awful
And yes i am pissed off just in case you didnt notice from my tone - no reason, im a woman so i dont need one x

I have been quit for 2 Months, 4 Weeks, 10 hours, 59 minutes and 55 seconds (88 days). I have saved £400.70 by not smoking 1,769 cigarettes. I have saved 6 Days, 3 hours and 25 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 01/01/2008 00:05
Wow Jojo,
You're doing sooooo well.
Sorry you're having a rough day.
May tommorrow be better for you.
Bill
But, have you saved 'x' amount of money?
Has anyone really put the money away they would have made from not smoking and spent it as a job lot? I do not know, say 6 months worth?
My spending on feelgood/compensatory junk has gone up quite a lot, of course, but not THAT much - I spend about an extra fiver a week on chocolate and chewing gum.
I'm working on the assumption that I smoked a carton of 200 a week, or approx 30 a day (the carton was rarely enough for the week, but it makes a weekly calculation easy).
I decided when I stopped that every Friday (main supermarket shopping day and the day on which I bought my 200) until further notice, I would pay the £45 I would have spent on fags into my "holiday" savings account.
It won't be spent on a holiday though (my holiday plans for the year have been budgeted and accounted for) because I plan to splurge on a HUGE plasma telly in the summer sales instead
The one I want costs around £1,200, and at £45 a week, I should have saved up enough for it by mid-September. So effectively, given my pre-12th March mentality, it won't have cost me anything!
(I'll admit to having spent £15 on DVDs last week in play.com sale, but I'd have spent that anyway.)
I smoked my last cigarette 2 Weeks, 3 Days, 6 hours and 51 minutes ago. I have £141.80 that I haven't spent on 604 cigarettes and saved 2 Days, 2 hours and 20 minutes of my life.
I spent it
Months ago, I promised that every Friday I'd transfer the £45 a week (at least) that I used to spend on fags into my saving account and then splurge it on a nice new telly in September.
I ended up getting not quite the telly I'd originally planned and earlier than planned. And spent only half the money (with the Olympics happening, there are some great deals to be had on new tellies at present). So I spent most of the rest on some fancy furnishings and did up the whole of the living room. This is now my monument to 5 months smoke free and effectively cost me nothing. I walk in here every morning and am conscious that five months ago, it would be to have a fag (this is the onyl room in the house I allowed myself to smoke). Now, I'm just ready to get on with my day!
Old telly and new telly together:

I smoked my last cigarette 4 Months, 4 Weeks, 2 Days, 23 hours and 36 minutes ago. I have £1,257.10 that I haven't spent on 5,354 cigarettes and saved 2 Weeks, 4 Days, 14 hours and 10 minutes of my life.
