Im now on day 2 and didnt have one tab yesterday!!! Feeling confident this morning, just hope it lasts!! had a bit of a bad night last night and had to lock myself in my bedroom away from everyone but got through it!!

I don't chew gum...I work my way through choc fudge cake instead :mad: Can't wait til its run out I can tell ya! Am killing two birds with one stone with this quit...One: To stop smoking and Two: To put on a bit of weight. A bit or weight that is...like, 14lbs, but at this rate, I'm gonna be doubling that lol

Btw, without trying to sound too vulgar...I've started coughing up 'gunk' more so lately...is anyone else? Does this stage last long? Sorry if you're eating your lunch or summat! :p

not coughed anything up, but i do have more a cough today and it sounds quite chesty, so not sure if 'something' is working its way up!! something to look forward!! lol :eek:

To put on a bit of weight.

Hmmm, most of us seem to put on about a stone without even trying, even though we don't want to - I'm sure our metabolic rate slows down when we quit smoking.

it does, nicotine is an appetite suppressent so we tend to eat a little more.

Then of course we nibble on rubbish to keep our hands busy.....:)

Hi Trev. Thanks for your words of encouragement on my thread on Day Two.

Yeah its funny how we put on weight as soon as we quit! I know its because we probably eat more but I'm not convinced its just that alone...I think our metabolism plays a part too.

I got very ill a few weeks ago with sickness and diarrhea at a time when I was already depleted of energy as I hadn't eaten hardly anything for three weeks. So then it was another couple weeks after the sickness thing 'til I could eat again and consequently I lost nearly two stones ggrrr So I'm trying to put some of that back on...I think I'm doing really good too lol

I know, they're crap aren't they manolo? You just have to do something. I found by doing nothing and just dwelling on the crave made it take alot longer to disappear so if I get a bad one I try my utmost to keep busy. Or mental stimulation...work out some maths in ya head if you are unable to do anything physical. I don't know.

I keep a blog of my progress...if you don't have one already, maybe you could start one? Then when you are going through a particularly rough ride, just get bloggin!!

Well it's day 8 for me and this time last week I was unsure if I'd make it a couple of days....

the 4th month house last Thursday (nearly done 14 weeks now). Sneaked in through the back door...

well its day 4 again for me but last time i didnt make it all day was smoking again by about 4pm on...

I made it to week 2 !

and more importantly i had 8 hours of sleep last night and no waking! :D Feeling good.
