Hi,

Again for fun I thought I'd pop in to the 6 month area. Who quit using what is a question I have for you?

I used patches and its been over a year for me.

I used Champix for my quit but only took it for about 7 weeks in the end. Easiest quit so far!:D

I stopped using the patches after 10 weeks, I followed all of the steps and read all the directions (which in my opinion matters).

I am soo glad I am free!!!

I have more money too -<2 packs a day or more is big $

I was worried in the beginning but I made it so far so good

Yea i used patches and went by the book. the last stage though i bought stage 2 patches 14mg and cut them in half was still geting 7mg and halfing the cost. though i think they are free now. I used to work in a chemist and saw what happens when a prescribed course of any medication isnt kept to. xxx

I thought about that but the box said not too. Maybe because they want you to pay more... not sure.

I went step 1, 2 & 3 - I'm free After step three was a bit scary but I told myself I have been stepping down 7mgs and had survived. It was a bit unsettling to reach for that spot on my arm and have nothing be there. I made it though; I just kept telling myself it will be ok and not even one- After the first 3 weeks my hand to mouth cravings were gone. So the cravings where pretty much sparse at that point. Traveling into unknown territory can be scary. But it is worth it and you find out its a mental thing and everything is fine.

Yea i read not to but once there was a offer for buy one get one free, just a week before i was to take a step down, so i got a box of each. When i opend them it hit me the patch was just smaller not weaker in strengh. When i was in the pharmacy we used to just dilute liquid medecine with syrup or water for children. so knew they are a profit making business like anyother HEHE!!! They realy did work just the same. But as you say if i wasnt convinced in my own mind well who knows? xxx

Hello Grinfire and Well Done!! I am on day 2 (cold turkey)...My husband who was a heavy smoker and smoked for over 40yrs quit smoking May 2006. He could not smoke in work, then they stopped them smoking in the car park so he got some patches did the stated course and has never had a ciggy since.

After Day three it does nothing but get better so hold on your almost there!!!!

Think of all the good things you will get from your struggle to quit, everytime you have a craving remember you don't want to start at day 1 and loose the time if you can help it!!!!
