Just to let you all know I was stuffing my face with a whopping great McDonalds at about 11:30am today and I even took my wife and son.
About 1 hour before the said feast, I talked it through with my better half (the old ball and chain :)) and decided to have a serious attempt at stopping. Infact I wouldn't say a serious attempt, I would say I decided to STOP!!!!
So after my McDonalds at about 11:55 am I had my last scheduled smoke and my quit date and time is now 12 noon 10th Nov 2007.
God bless Trebor Extra Strong Mints...

ps I know that Mcdonalds cos I used to be in the RAF and was stationed for a while at RAF Coltishall (many many years ago) Tell me is 'The Bell' still there? I used to love going in there and having a drink ineach of its bars.
I was only there for 18mths between Aug 86-88. I used to share a house in Nth Walsham (which was known as RAF nth Walsham cos there so many of us lot there! Tacevals were an absolute hoot. Instead of phoning the next person on the list someone would usually stand at the of the steet and shout! The only other person about would be the milkman!!
I know your'e veggie Boudee, but couldn't you just eat the bun and the lettuce and chuck the burger bit?! I say that cos hubby eats low carb (no bread, pots, sugar etc) and he had to go mcd the other day (cos others from work were going)Anyway he ended up getting a big mac but cos of his diet he chucked the bun et al and just ate the burgers.
Ah thanks Karen x x feel so much better I think hehehehe
Did you see the Lord Mayors Show today on TV??
My boy was marching I saw him on TV was dead proud x x x x x x x x
Only 30 students get into Wellbeck each year so it may not be his way into the RAF we have to wait n see x x x I reckon he should attend the appointment in his ATC Uniform, what do you think??
No I had to work but the poppy service from the Albert Hall is on later tonight. I rememember in 1989 when I was stationed at RAF Henlow a group of us were seconded to RAF Uxbridge (nr heathrow) to attend the memorial service. I'll never forget those poppies coming down at the end. Man it was
Oh by the way I cannot wait until my son goes in the RAF (11 years to go... :D). 16.5 years old (unless its changed now), get rid of those pesky kids... "Big evil laugh from Norwich".
Anyhow getting back on track, 2 hours and 40 minutes until the end of Day 1... Yippee, the first whole day since my June attempt.
Oh, and wasn't Strictly Come Dancing good last night....
Bloody well done Gav, just get past this first hurdle and once youre not counting the hours you'll be well on youre way!
Getting past day 1 is one of my biggest problems with giving up (apart from the fact I don't really 100% want to!!).
After a whole day it feels like I have got something to lose, until I reach that milestone though I find it easy to say "Oh I'll give up tomorrow...".
However starting at 12 noon seemed to work well for me. Gave me the morning to build up momentum and plan things, and then by midday I was probably better prepared than normal.
And this morning when I woke up, I didn't feel like a poo floating down a sewer (Excuse the ****ogy ladies!!). Which gave me a good start today.
Normally I try to quite first thing in the morning and normally feel so crap after a shower I just go and have a smoke and put off the big day.
Again, I don't understand why ****ogy has come up instead of A.n.a.l.o.g.y ... Is A.n.a.l rude??? Maybe Boudee could fill us in!!
Thats it... I am drawing a line... This is a family forum and I think I will have to start policing it a bit closer in the future... I have a list of naughty suspects, I've got my beady eyes on you... All that RAF guard duty will start to pay off now...
Anyhow getting back to more important things... Mainly ME!!! (Typical selfish self centered man), less than 1 hour to go before moving to the 2 day section.
