Has anyone else noticed since they have stopped smoking how much some people smell? and im not just talking about smokers too! I know how bad we stunk but we thought smoking was a much better option. Imean getting on a crowded bus is murder at the moment..because im used to not being able to smell anything its like rediscovering my nose again and at times it isnt pleasent....
still it is light relief in a way and as long as i dont be rude and say anything i must be ok to find it a little funny...
i jus really hate to think what i smelt really bad when i smoked even though i did..urghhh..

lol, yeah getting your sense of smell back can be slightly off putting!
Last night I cooked pork chops for dinner and I seriously thought they were off, but hubby said they always smell like that when being cooked!! I couldnt eat them, so I guess that means no more pork for me, pork chops that is! LOL.

Just been to Intermarche, and got a gold medal winning red wine for 2 Euro!! Will have a sample tonight je pense!!
Ugh in Pennsylvania all wine/liquior is sold by the state in govt owned stores... you can imagine the slecton and cost this system provides.
I love that in France it seems you can always find a decent bottle of wine good bread and cheese. Alas with the state of the $ I think my traveling days are over for now.
Thats a shame, I love traveling. Maybe now you have saved some money on the ciggies, you could manage a trip over here now.
Didn't realise that alcohol was only served by govt shops
True.. my goal on the house and relocation from NYC to Philly was to make a more established and affordable life so I am not existing only to pay rent... not smoking will help... one of my goals is to be able to travel again.
Alcohol sales are regulated by state. PA is one of the worst. Wine and Liquor are sold only in the state stores. They are wretched. There are a few "Premium" stores that are a bit better. Beer can be purchased by the case or keg from a distributor or you can buy a six pack from a bar/restruant "to go". Bizzare I know.. I blame the Puritans
On day 2 I went into college and my (old!) smoking buddy came in and sat next to me...I love her to bits but she stank! And yesterday I went to the studio I work in and all the girls were on a fag break, the corridor was almost suffocating. I knew it smelt bad, but not that bad at all.
On the plus side I think I might treat myself to bacon tonight. If ever there was a smell to fall in love with, its bacon...
There is no such thing as imitation bacon, it cannot be copied!! Denise is veggie too, and she tried the quorn bacon, which she didn't like at all. She loves their sausages though
They do, its ok as a chilli or cottage pie. I am not as keen on the rest of their stuff though. Denise likes the fajita strips, chicken "style" pieces etc. I like home grown bacon, and eggs - yummy yummy!
