HANG IN THERE!!! Day 6 is a tough one and it will get better so just keep your thoughts busy and stay away from the people that are smoking. You can do this - I know it is hard, but we are all rooting for you.
Keep your chin up - YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!!!!!!!
Is it okay??
This may be an odd question, but when I put a cigerette in my mouth (not lit) my cravings settle down a little (not a whole lot, but enought to notice the differnce) I will sit and suck on it just to get that tobacco taste in my mouth. Once again it is not lit. So is this delaying my successs?
Whew that would be a huge tempt for me to light it up. It's not harming you but with the nicotine addiction there is a mental addiction as well. You will not be letting go of the hand - mouth crave/addiction. I would suggest just smelling someone elses ciggy when they light up or chewing on a toothpick instead of the ciggy. Eating celery very slowly until it turns to pulp in your mouth before you swallow it can be helpful too.
Good Luck!
