A few of the stories on here had me in tears. I lost both my parents to Cancer but neither were heavy smokers. Feeling a bit depressed right now.
I know I've done the right thing in giving up but I still live in fear of the damage I have done to my body. It's like I feel that's it's almost inevitable that something bad is going to happen. I know of 4 people [ex-smokers for many years] that have been diagnosed with lung cancer. Cheer me up someone please!!!!!!!!! 24 years is a long time to have smoked like myself.

So sorry your feeling low 2day but do know what you mean lost both my parents to lung cancer also. But also lost my aunt to kidney cancer and she was very health minded (she was a nursing sister) and a very good friend in work just found out she has breast cancer she is having op monday she has never smoked. So I do think we all have our own desteny. Maybe your a little depressed two weeks ago I was very low started taking st johns wort and I must say I feel a lot better maybe give them a shot. But most of all hope you feel better really soon Love Linda xxxx

You are not diagnosed with cancer and you have your life unattached to smoking addiction. Feel joy right now! When you quitted there is temptation to replace nicotine addiction with some other addiction or with depression. Bella you don't need to feel pain, or live in fear. Read again what Buffy said about past and try to make your future more happier.
