Hello,
It's been a while since I did a report on here so here goes.
On day 65 today and have been NRT free for over a week now. Been out a few more times but did put a patch on on Friday when I went to a caribbean evening at one of the local yacht clubs. I am still worried that I may falter when out drinking without any NRT.
Went to Ashford in Kent on Saturday to see my sister and her family and while nobody smokes indoors, they all go out into the garden to smoke. This was probably one of the hardest situations I felt I had to deal with. All my family are smokers especially at the moment so I felt a bit of an outsider.
Even 2 months down the line we can still have such strong cravings but I didn't give in. May have been my willpower but could also be cos the wife was there and she would never let me have one anyway. Oh BTW shes not smoking anymore now theres a bun in the oven.
I will be the first to admit that I still like the smell of a cigarette burning away but I can't stand the smell of ashtrays or people who've just had a cigarette.
Now that I'm NRT free, this is the real test. I've been on holiday while I've been on NRT and now it really is back to reality. Just got to remember why I'm doing this and keep vigilant.
I have been quit for 2 Months, 2 Days, 9 hours and 25 seconds (64 days). I have saved £119.09 by not smoking 965 cigarettes. I have saved 3 Days, 8 hours and 25 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 01/07/2007 00:00
