Hello every1

well 8 weeks today, seems to have gone really quick since my first day on the forum as a virgin poster, well thanks to all who have helped and supported me especially boudee, buffy, smokeless and charlene to name but a few.

well i start month 3 2morrow, my 3rd month of Champix need to decide how i am going to come of them in 4 weeks, whether to cut down or just stop i dont want just to stop dead, might try cutting down to one tablet a day.

Just fear that when i stop taking the tablets i am going to reach for the ciggies just a nagging doubt in the back of my mind.At the moment i have no inclination to smoke not even tempted.

I want to hurry up and finish the tablets and maybe get a decent nights sleep and get ridof the bloating in the stomach, if i can get rid of the bloated stomach that would probably account for most of the weight i have put on

Buffy

when i first quit each day seemed to drag and i had a quit calendar and i was ticking of the days, then bam 8 weeks have gone by just like that.

i will complete course of champix of course, reading on the internet regarding champix when tested in the us the people who just stopped, some eventually went back to smoking, while others were given another 3 months tablets at a reduced dossage 98% of these stopped completely after the extra 3 months tablets.

Day 49 of not smoking.

Couple of questions, please forgive me if you have all been around this block already.

Anyone else find that on the Champix and with not smoking that you also don't need coffee?? I have gone from 5 cups of black coffee to 2 cups.

I need to hang in there so in January I can watch the all the smokers from my temperature controlled office as they puff in the -10 weather.

P.S. that 98% stat is so impressive, I might sign on for 3 more months!

Hi shellfishb5

I took Zyban for the first 8 days, but stopped thereafter. just ran out, and could get no more!

Still no cigs ater 56 days :) :)

As they say the mind is a powerful thing.

Eg1: There is no man happier than the man who thinks he is happy.

Eg2: There is no man happier as a non smoker than the man who does not want to smoke.

It's a mind game:) :)
