Hi I'm new on here and just wanted to let you all know how I got on with Champix. After 30 years of 20 a day, I finally stopped on 24th May and I have to say, I have had no cravings at all. I even forgot to take the tablets for a whole weekend round about week 6. Since then I have only been taking one tablet in the mornings and took my final tablet last Thursday. I still have quite a lot of tablets left, but don't see the point in continuing to take them when I don't feel I need them.

Anyway to all of you out there considering stopping smoking, I would certainly recommend Champix as I have tried to stop a number of times in the past and have never got further than a few days, sometimes only a few hours.

Hi and Welcome Joanne

I am on week 11 doing it by patches.

You have done brilliantly.Well done.

Everyone says champix is good. I will consider it if i lapse with patches. Finding it quite hard at times , but i`m on the lowest patch now.

Thanks for your post.

Thanks all. It's good to have support from others who know what you're going through.

I just need to wean myself off the Morrisons jelly babies now, and try to lose the weight I've put on.

My weight has settled now and is a bit lower than it peaked during this quit.

Still need to get back to the gym, when kids go back to school, sort out the wobbly bits :D

Joane well done and welcome to the forum

I am on the Champix and just picked up my last months supply interested to read about your cutting down and stopping the tablets, i dont want to just stop taking them would rather wean myself off them slowly its just scary stopping taking the tablets managing without them. Also i cant recall any body dying of jelly baby poisoning.

Buffy my weight seems to have settled now so will work harder to get rid of the wobbly bits, dont get rid of all your wobbly bits lol
