Feeling much better after 14 days. A lot less cravings.... Only had 1 stick of gum yesterday. Sleeping better and coughing less

Definite increase in lung capacity as well. Don't get out of breath at all walking back home from the Tube.

Wish Id' had a go at this quitting lark earlier.

cheers geordie trucker! The gum has definitley helped me a lot. I reckon that its not the nicotine that I'm addicted too so much as the habit of smoking that is hard to break. When you have a drink or when you've eated or when you have a coffee that's when you automatically 'need' one. Once you've broken that routine, it gets easier.

The gum seems to help as well because you're doing something that prohibits you having a ciggie anyway e.g you're chewing and there's something in your mouth. I never chewed gum when I was smoking before so now I chew gum, i don't want to smoke. Sounds wierd I know but seems to work.

Good luck with it all.;)
