Many cancer survivors have said that in remission they feel well and as good as ever.Personally, I have not found this to be the case. Any thoughts?

do cancer survivors ever achieve a sense of well being?
I am stage 3 with NHL, last relapse was in 2005. I feel fine and am thankful for everything done to keep me healthy. We always have a thought that maybe it will come again, but am not going to dwell on it. You will accept whatever comes along. Remember, advances are made every day, you'll always have a chance! Stay strong.
Hi Jack23 I was actually thinking about this today - I have been in remission for 10 months and feel better about life now than before diagnosis - I remain positive and busy. I am not saying that I do not have problems and bad days, which I believe is normal, but for the most part am more happy. Dear jack23 I hope you find this positive place and the happiness that remission brings soon (hugs)😀
I am on watch & wait for FNHL. I'm lucky, as when people ask me how I am I am able to reply that I feel absolutely fine, if I hadn't been told I had lymphoma I'd have thought I was in near perfect health. Life is almost back to normal, that includes much reduced stress levels and stopping comfort eating - I've even been able to book travel insurance at a reasonable price. Just occasionally I am reminded, for instance last March whilst staying in a hotel I went to the spa for a massage, they refused citing cancer. For how long, time will tell.
Hello, Thanks for the encouraging message. As far as the massage thing goes, I remember a number of years ago a massage therapist told me that they always have to warn cancer patients that there is a possibility that massage can spread cancer and I am sure there is some basis for this. I have had many massages since then and am not concerned about this. I am going to try lymphatic massage to see if that might help clear my sinuses. How did you discover that you had lymphoma? We are fortunate indeed as there are so many more aggressive types of cancer out there. My doc. said to me many years ago, 'no one wants to get cancer, but if you have to get it, this is the best kind to get because it is so treatable. 'We need to stay active in our bodies, and positive in our minds.
