My daughter is 8 years old and has had microscopic blood in urine since the age of 3. The experts told me not to worry and that sometimes there is no reason for it. She contracted Poststreptococcal Glomerulonephritis in December which presented with alarming dark brown urine and very high blood pressure and temperature. She was discharged a few days later and it returned in Feb. Her HB was 107and her protein levels were 300 and went down to 159 on discharge. 6 months later and she still has blood (microscopic) and an albumin level of 4.6. I have also noticed that her levels are higher at night. Leukocytes, Ph level and tracks of protein. She is getting her bloods repeated but not for another 2 weeks. Should I be concerned?

Would she still have levels of protein 6 months later. The paediatric doctor initially said yes and then last week said no! I don't know what ti think. I am going to pay privately to see a Nephologist buy I only have a limited about to spend on appointments so desperate for advice
I’m sorry, I’m in the US and the abbreviations may be different. What is HB? How often are you doing urine testing? What is her blood pressure like? What are her most recent urine results?
