I donated my kidney over a year ago without problems. I was almost 72 years old at the time.

Good article. We noticed that some centers seem to have superior lab technology as well as the very specialized research doctors - apparently "cleaning up" and "reclaiming" kidneys at a higher rate than others. So we double-listed with the one doing more of that and met with success. Maybe the NKF can set aside grants to help centers achieve optimum outcomes too.
