I posted several months ago wondering if any of you have gastroparesis which was diagnosed pre-transplant. In short, I’d been told by the transplsnt nephrologist, who has since left the transplant center, that I’d likely have to have a tube put in my stomach and be fed through the tube etc. Admittedly this was said to me without any testing data and no information from a GI, etc. Nevertheless, it was pretty stressful.
Since that time I’ve been under the care of a GI. I’m completely symptom free and have been consistently since the vomiting episode that led to my hospital stay late last March. I just got a call from the transplant center. They’ve reviewed my data. They are moving me back to active status on the waitlist today. I’m thrilled!

Absolutely fantastic! My hubby was moved from active to inactive and back again a few times. He was given a transplant immediately after he was put back on the active list for the final time. So be prepared for anything to happen!
I received my first call for a possible donor kidney on April 1st although I was the third of three called into the center that day. I couldn’t go because I was in the hospital. But I’ve been adding time since so that’s 4 1/2 more months. I’m definitely hoping for a donor kidney by the end of the calendar year. I’ve got my bag packed!! And I’ve got kenneling set up for Izzy. So I’m ready to go I think!! 🤞
