Evusheld to lessen symptoms of Covid

It a question but what I received to help in case I got Covid again. About 4 weeks post transplant, I received 2 simultaneous injections of 2 separate medications, together known as Evusheld. It is a medication that blocks the spike protein receptors, acting as an antibody to Covid. I hate injections and both shots, given high up in the rump, were painless for me. The only thing I experienced was a few hours after I got home. I thought I was running a really low grade fever but couldn’t find my thermometer. Gone by the next day.

Evusheld is considered a preventative for immunosuppressed to prevent COVID. You get 2 injections every 6 months. My doctor says that the anticlonal antibody treatment is a treatment for COVID. The Evusheld does help to prevent COVID, but differently than Moderna & Pfiizer.Doctors found out early on that about 50% of transplant recipients did not build up the needed antibodies to prevent COVID from Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. That was the strategy behind Evusheld - one more strategy against preventing COVID
