Anyone else had night sweats post transplant, literally will wake up and my top will be soaked. Wondering if it could be to do with the meds

Yes! They were horrible for about 4 weeks. I was going through 3 sets of pajamas a night. It got much better over the last week and a half - I’m no longer on Prednisone. I’m taking Tacrolimus and Myfortic for my anti-rejection meds.

For me, I think it was the Prednisone. When I went down to 5mg, the night sweats got a lot better. They have disappeared now that I’m off the Prednisone.

My husband has them. He received his kidney 2 years ago. No one seems to have an answer so your comment about prednisone is interesting because he does take that every day

Yes! I am 22 months post transplant and have night sweats so bad that I've had to change tops several times. Not only that I sweat in my head as well as my chest. I have no idea which meds are causing this as I'm on prednisone, cellcept and Tacrolimus!

I transplanted at 29 (I’m 46 now) and had menopause type sweating for at least a few months (it was winter in Seattle). I’d been on prednisone since age 12 and it was the first time it had happened. I was also given (and still take) cellcept and tacrolimus.
