I’ve been having short sharp pains near, but not on, my scar the past couple of days. It’s right where it starts to go numb about an inch above the scar. Is this normal? Is it from the nerves healing or should I ask my dr about it?

Nerve damage/pain
It is quite normal in my opinion.
Get in touch with your transplant team if you’re concerned. It’s probably part of the healing process after surgery but it’s better to ask and discuss it properly and let them have a look if necessary.
Both, I'd say. I had pains in that area for quite a while after my surgery, but I would still tell your team so you can hear it from them.
Agreed, ask your team but I had pains and numbness for many months post transplant. As time passed the sensation would come and go. It seemed to be part of the healing process.
How long since your transplant? Always, always report any problems to your transplant team. If it's been in the first 6 months or so, it still could be healing. Your nerves and muscles have been moved around for your transplant and does take awhile to heal. That being said, I did have an incisional hernia in my transplant scar. It was fixed surgically. This is why it is so important to tell your transplant team of your problem. Let them figure it out whether it is just healing or if it is something else.
Best of luck.
