I am 16 months post kidney transplant. My question has anyone started getting small warts mostly on my legs since the transplant? If so, what have you done to get rid of them??

Post Transplant warts
Dear Charly1429,
Don't 'Talk' to me about WARTS/ GROWS/ SKIN TAGS and so on! Most are Benign, though it is 'best' to have them 'checked'- now and again.
The Cause is actually 'simple' too explain.... You are on Immune Suppressant Drugs, these SUPPRESS your Immune Response.....to EVERYTHING- NOT 'Just' Rejection Antibodies. Your Skin is Covered in Wart, Cold, Flu and 'All Manner' of other Viruses and Bacteria. Athlete's Foot, Thrush and 'Strange Looking Things' will appear on your body..... HOWEVER.....
You WON'T have to have Dialysis, you Will- maybe after a time- NOT have a Restricted Diet. You can DRINK when you want..... need I go on? (you may well find, as a result of drinking more, your Constipation improves too!).
Just Keep attending the Clinics, they Get Less With Time, and see the Dermatologist regularly and ENJOY THE FREDOOM FROM DALYSIS!
I was Transplanted in July 2013 so, if I can 'Help' in any way, please DO contact me.
Good Luck, my friend

Yes warts, boils, skin cancer sores. After 7 moe surgeries they finely charged my rejection medication. Don’t forget BK virus I got that also. It’s getting better though it’s seems like it’s a never ending story.
Thank you!
Yes. I've been to many different doctors regarding growths that appear and taken some expensive medication. I used to yank them off, but now I have to take a blood thinner so I can't use that removal method anymore. It is just one of those things we all have to deal with.
I am replying to myself because lately, the growths have increased and everytime I visit the dermatologist I pay a co-pay of $40 plus receive a path bill for close to $1000, unless one or more look suspicious. They are always fine. This is why I started yanking them off. As mentioned earlier, I would just yank them off until I had to take blood thinner and then it was difficult and messy. They are on my arms and legs. I would like to know how to present my problem to the dermatologist so they can code differently or do something so I do not end up with a bill that is difficult if not impossible to pay.
Please only work with a dermatologist to remove unwanted growth on the skin. Don't forget transplant patients have an incredibly high chance of developing skin cancer. IF what you see is actually cancerous or precancerous, the last thing you want is to mess with it on your own and allow cancer cells a chance to spread.
Charley, would you mind telling me which transplant doctor nephrologist you use? I have a wonderful transplant doctor in NY, but would also like a closer doctor here in Fl. I am in Lake Worth. I have my kidney twenty seven years. Thank you.
Congrats on 27 years amazing!! My transplant was at Cleveland Clinic in Weston. While I was under their care, I saw Dr. Nargwhal and Dr. Saith both at Cleveland Clinic. They now have me going to my Kidney Dr who is a Transplant nephrologist, Dr. Christian Suarez at the Miami Kidney Group. I’m very happy with him and his staff!! Hope this helps!!
