Yup, mostly from prednisolone associated appetite increase and inactivity from COVID.

Yeah, me too. The anti-rejection meds made me insulin resistant, which causes weight gain. Endocrinologist put me on glipizide, which also causes weight gain. It's a whole new world. Eat carefully and exercise a lot.

Yes, me too. The prednisone that I was taking originally started the weight gain. Staying at home now because of COVID and winter doesn't help at all.

Hi! I’m four months post transplant and

I’d say i’ve gained between 12-15 lbs. I was only 107 pounds pre transplant so the weight has only made me look healthier. Although at first with the prednisone made me

Feeling constantly starving. And with way less restriction than on dialysis i just ate whatever whenever. Now, i’m on 5 mg of prednisone and that feeling of hunger is not as intense and i dont cave in to that feeling. I plan my meals and snacks weekly so i stay on track. With not working because of covid and transplant (i’m a nurse) its a must for me to plan meals amd exercice. I find that planning eveything ahead has help me not overeat. Since doing that i’ve lost about 2 pounds. And my doctors said that there is no signs of diabetes for me. Hope it helps!

Oh absolutely!! I’ve gained so much and it’s discouraging! One week I gained 10lbs...and was barely eating. Right after transplant I was up almost 40lbs. I have no energy. Have prednisone face and just feel blah most days. My team is suspecting that I may be sensitive to the Envarsus medicine. The Lasix is doing nothing to help reduce the swelling. Anybody else experiencing this!? Thank you.

That sounds like no fun. I've gained about 15lbs that I'd love to lose. I had my transplant 8 months ago. How about you?

Hi. I had my transplant 16 years ago (coming in November). One of the many drugs I take is prednisone. I have never gained any weight aside from the normal ups and downs that come from eating too much at holidays, etc. Apparently I was lucky. I wouldn't let it worry you too much. Just watch your diet.
