My kidney transplant was Dec. 7 1992, 27yrs this month.. I am blessed of how long it has lasted. Thanking the Lord it will keep on going...

Congrats. Please share how did you manage your kidney for so long. Who was the donor? A perfect match?

Thank you, manage by taking my meds correctly, keeping track of all my blood work(even pre- computer time lol) Asking questions, also the donor was a good match. I know she was a 23yr old who died. All I could do back then was write a letter to the family, no names Lifelink handle the delivery. My diet has changed over the yrs. Make sure to keep blood pressure low..

My was deceased also. But she saved 3 lives , my and 2 others at the same hospital..
