I am a 28 year old femaile and it's been 5 days post donating my kidney to my sister and am experiencing night sweats the past 2 nights, I've had to change my shirt as it and the sheet I was sleeping on was damp. Anyone experiencing something similar after their donation?

Check ur sugar level or bp
Are you still in hospital, i think you might be home buy now? If you are home you need your temperature checked, BP checked. Also are you drinking plenty of water?
I think it might be an idea to contact the renal team and tell them how you are feeling plus the information of temp and BP.
Good luck you've done a wonderful thing and very selfless act.
If you had received a kidney then I would have said it’s the medication as I suffer badly. But as you are a donor I honestly have no idea apart from as was said earlier high sugar levels, or a temperature. I’m sure this will pass but if not please seek some advice on this x
As always, please check with your medical team for advice. However, night sweats can occur as a side effect after surgery and anesthesia. It always happened to me after surgical procedures, but it does go away. Best wishes to you!
Kind regards, Lisa

YOU should definitely be checking with the renal team that did your surgery. It could be a result of the surgery and anesthesia, but it would take a doctor to be able to tell what is going on.
