I'm amazed by all of the people who have donated their kidney. What a wonderful, selfless gift. I am 31 years old, and a single mom who is on dialysis, and dreaming of getting a transplant. Hopefully, in my future I will find a donor and get the transplant I so desperately need and want. Thanks to all of you who have donated your kidneys. You truly changed someone's life and gave them a miracle!

Thank you and sending virtual hugs and positive energy your way ♻️💙💚
Get the word out any way you can! "Looking for a Kidney Donor" on Facebook, Nextdoor.com, church bulletins...everywhere! Too many people aren't aware of how simple this is and what a life-changing thing it is, too! I was only reminded about it in a casual chat with a friend at a party! Best of luck!
Wishing you all the best! In addition to the sites mentioned by Crocheting-Cricket, th National Kidney Foundation has a program called BIG ASK, BIG GIVE; it helps you navigate the difficult situation of actually ASKING for a kidney. Please reach out to someone on kidney.org to find out more. And yes, SOCIAL MEDIA for sure!!!
I agree with both responders. Tell everyone. My recipient mentioned it "causally to me" just after she learned she needed to go on dialysis and would ultimately need a transplant. My initial response, besides shock, was "I'll help get the word out." A few days later I asked myself, "Why can't I donate"? I asked questions of her, her doctor contacted the hospital donor group, and it went from there. I think it's important for people to understand that they can ask questions without being hounded to donate. There are many reasons that someone who wants to might ultimately choose not to, and every decision is valid.
