Hello. I am considering donating a kidney to a close friend. Does any one know if Aflac covers short term disability for the donor?

Hi! Yes I receive short term disability + I had supplemental “hospital” insurance from Aflac so that paid out. And my job had a organ donor policy (that I literally found out about 1 week before sugery) that gave me 30 paid days off (which was up to 10 weeks for me). And there are some organizations that will help you with bills if needed. So there are options to make sure you don’t go without your needs being met while you donate and recover. :-)
