This is so important to me and my husband. He rides the Paratransit bus to and from treatment and those drivers are so insensitive to his well being. They go over speed bumps like they don’t exist and pick him up after treatment all late after he has been sitting for four and a half hours on the machine. He is tired and ready to go home, but they insist on adding more people to the route and he’s suffering and wanting to go home and rest. He doesn’t get home until three hours later after having waited for the bus and rode all around town before they get him home. He is exhausted and beat. And on Friday evenings it’s the worst. Some people are joy riding and haven’t a clue as to why dialysis patients are so irritated and want to go straight home. I wish they would do a study for drivers to know what they the dialysis patient goes through. It’s rough.
