i finally got ahold of someone at the hospital that confirmed i am type 2 not type 1,the doctor apparently misread the sheet.this has been one wild ride but at least they found what my pcp didnt.thank you all for the information and help.

Glad you got it all straightened out. Now you can go forward. Will you be seeing an endocrinologist?

definitely.im going to see if i can get on with my husbands endo.my sugars are running my average so i think there wont be much of a problem

Maybe if you DOCTOR didn’t know 1 versus 2 you might think about finding a new doctor or at least…uh…retiring that doc from your care!

that was the er doctor.my primary and nephro confirmed 2.turns out er didnt communicate with nephro at all.i had to write him and let him know what was going on.going to jump my primary for not being on the ball.

Oh if ER doc I get it. That’s who tried to kill me wth his degree from St.George Med School in Granada. My sister-in-law has alcoholic hepatitis and her hospitalist is a go with a degree from the Belarus Med School. I don’t believe I would have made it out of the hospital in ‘96 if the system we use now was in place. The pain of knowledge of these “bedside docs” is astounding. This doc diagnosed my sister-in-law with all available hepatic illness regardless of alcohol issues. That could be an issue for her in further treatment decisions and could be used to deny a transplant but do they think that through…nope!
