Found a bread machine on facebook marketplace for $25, almost new and am trying recipes with no salt. So far it is good toasted, but not very good for sandwiches (which I eat open face). But there are some really good herbal version that are tasty. So, I am trying to find my favorite recipe.
No idea about the phosphorus or potassium. Too lazy to try to figure that. But flour, yeast, butter or oil, egg, a little sugar and that is it.

Trader Joe's sells a "very low" sodium sprouted multi-grain bread. While not the best for a sandwich, it is not too bad either. Has good texture to hold sandwich contents without crumbling. Plus you can control the potassium and phosphorus intake because the nutrition label states it per slice.
Ok, so being a store-bread kinda guy. How hard (meaning time consuming) is it to make bread with one of these machines? What brand/model of machine did you get. And would you share your basic low sodium recipe? Just to see what all is involved. It think it's the baking soda stuff that adds phosphorus to bread. I can ask my dietitian. She encourages me to eat "yeast" based breads for some reason. I'll have to ask why.
