Accrufer (Cedric maltol)

Has anyone had any experience with Accrufer. From the little I've found, it appears to be an improvement over the otc pills, and might avoid the side effects of iron injections or infusions?

Hi Ronaldo

I have no experience with Accrufer.

However, suffering from long term ckd and chronic low iron plus gastro issues, I use slow release iron tablets called Maltofer. -Would that be the same/similar?

This brand of Maltofer Tablets consists of Iron polymaltose 370mg equivalent to 100mg of elemental iron per tablet.

Thanks for sharing this info. I too have anemia, and taking vegan iron pills. Will ask my Primary Doctor.
