Hi I am freaking out. yesterday my wife showed me that she has a bad rash. Does this mean she is end stage? Did anyone have a rash in 3b?

Absolutely, NOT. No one goes from 3b to end stage that fast. She may never reach end stage.

Do you understand what end stage means?

People with CKD may have a rash from a medication that they are given or from the dialysis. Your wife is not getting anything like that in stage 3B.

If she has a rash then she should call her PCP. She may have a rash from being under stress from your worrying.

It could be an allergy. Don't freak out that everything is end stage CKD. Give the poor woman a break. You are wearing her down with your worry.

Ask your Dr. about maybe increasing your meds.

You are really projecting far, far, far into the future to even consider end stage regarding your wife.

I don't know how she handles the stress of your worries.

Please focus on your own mental well being and let her be calm and stress free. She only needs to focus on her CKD diet so she doesn't progress to another stage. She has to go down through Stage 3B, then to Stage 4 then into Stage 5 before and IF she would ever be end stage.

She can improve or maintain where she is at for a VERY long time if she eats right, follows an exercise program, and AVOIDS stress. Hint, hint, hint LOL
