We don't diagnose here. However, last summer I had some discomfort there and before I could see my doctor it turned into intermittent pain. I brought that information to the doctor and he scheduled an ultrasound. I had gallstones and in early October I had my gallbladder removed.
Remember pain is your body's way of alerting you that something is wrong.
Contact your physician.

I have been a renal patient nearly 40 years either on dialysis or having a transplant. I have never experienced pain under my ribs. You need to see your renal doctor and have further investigations.
