New to renal diet and wondering about serving sizes. If a serving size of lettuce for a salad is 1 cup, do you just stuff lettuce loosely/tightly in a cup? Or do you weigh it for ounces? Sorry, if this seems like a silly question, but just don't have any experience with thinking about serving sizes.

Diet and serving sizes
Good question. I just put it in loosely and do not weigh it. Davita diet tracker shows per cup, that Arugula Chopped, has 75mg Potassium, and phosphorus 10 mg, Bib Lettuce chopped has 390 Potassium and 55mg Phosphorus, and Iceberg Lettuce chopped, has 100mg Potassium, and 15mg Phosphorus. Guess just use your judgement, depending on the type of lettuce.
HI,
I chop my lettuce so I base it one that. So one cup chopped... which is not a whole lot in a salad. Here, this will help.

Thank you for this link, Bassetmommer! I'm not yet eating raw veggies just cooked from diverticulitis but I found your link's measurements for portion size so helpful.
Also without a food scale, found these two sites helpful with conversion information:

Just use common sense and don't overthink it.
