Has anyone had experience with both the eGFR test using the CKD-EPI formula and CKD-MDRD formula?

Hey OC, you had me stumped with that one. I had to go into my files on hyper-technical (physician speak) to get a handle on this one. Rather than try to explain it in lay terms I've posted the link below. Hope it's what you're looking for.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

The only thing I had in my personal notes was from a woman I met at a meeting of dialysis patients this summer who was alcoholic and she mentioned it in passing. I didn't quite understand it and we couldn't ask questions in the open portion of the meeting and she left before I did and I didn't have any followup.

Thanks for that link, I missed it on my search. Actually, I found it to be almost as confusing as the one technical one I found. Have a good weekend.

I think maybe MDRD formula is older than the EPI. You have a good weekend too.
