Andrew has just attended his follow up appointment with the nephrologist. And he answered all his questions. His pottasium is now at 4.5 and been stable for 2 weeks. This is the first time in 3 years. He has only been taking bicarbonate of soda as he couldn't keep the potassium down. The consultant told him this was very good and quick without the potassium. He is now down to once a week tests for a month. Then monthly for a while if he stays stable. We are fortunate in the fact this consultant has a special interest in Andrew's problem. It's early days but it's looking positive and as Andrew put it, hopefully light at the end of a very long tunnel. A big thanks to you all for the info. And what ever kidney problems you have I wish you all well.
