My partner's birthday is today and I'm cooking supper. The menu isn't imaginative but we like it.
On the homemade side we've got a king prawn cocktail salad starter (how many calories in mayo ) and for the main course its ribeye, triple cooked chips (a la Heston), blue cheese sauce and some veggies.
Dessert is a bought in passion fruit pudding. (I have to buy in desserts as most of the ones I try and make look like dynamited whale.)
Don't worry though I've already calculated the calories and I'm using portion control to stay within my calorie count. I've calculated that I'll be fine as long as I don't stray within 7 feet of the finished product . This is going to be my biggest test yet by far.
I'll keep "most" of my drinking to diet tonic with Angostura bitters. This is now my go to booze substitute.
That's a bit scary, I got hungry just typing that lot in.
