You could try chewing gum while you cook or brush your teeth before you begin. Nothing tastes nice with mint.

Hi shakirafin,

Get yourself into a proper meal routine. Perhaps eating with the kids and partner.

Base it on three moderate healthy nutritious meals a day with healthy sensible snacks in between to tide you over between meals, so that you don't go more that about four hours eating nothing. Also, drink more water.

And then stop 'picking' at the food as you cook. But because you've got yourself into a sensible eating routine, you'll probably find that a lot easier.

There's stuff about this sort of thing on the NHs live well lose weight pages and within the 12 week plan.

Good luck with your weight loss journey.

This is my downfall to. Now I make sure I have a mug of tea or coffee while I'm preping meals and I also have a chopped apple to 'nibble' at. Having chopped fruit seems to make it last longer!

Yep I nibble on chewing gum the more minty the better, having drank cuppa to fill up away from kitchen as fridge calls me to nibble lol but if really desperate I have polo mints to suck as actually found I could chew chewing gum v fast if I thought I fancied something else lol. It is all about changes to routine and breaking habits, good luck :-)
