Sorry you are in pain, think you will have to pester your GP. Are you taking painkillers. I would try heat pads myself or ice packs. Or if you can afford it a Chiropractor even with treatment pains don't always go away depends on the cause. But you do need symptom treatment to lessen the pain.Good luck
Chiropractors are charlatans who "diagnose" quite remarkably impossible conditions such as "you have a twisted spine" or "I can see that you've got joint deformation on your knee" when in reality it is quite often swelling and tendonitis.
Morning there, to some degree I agree with you. After a complete examination and question time I underwent Acupuncture for a foot/ankle pain problem which made the pain on walking worse, on discussion was told Laser might be better but no estimate of cost or how many treatments would be required. Home DIY treatment worked best , given time and was cheaper than £60 per week, I still get arthritic foot pain with flare ups &gout which a short burst of anti inflammatories helps and rest.. So how is your pain today have you manage to find any relief??
What did the Doctor and A&E say to you with regards to your leg pain?
My gp just keeps thobbing me of with more pain killers,im taking so many I'm surprised i dont rattle when walking. My a&e dept, basically sent me home without seeing anyone and told me to go see my gp. It is now 12 wk + and i am still no further forward.
So, in short, there is nothing, at the moment that A&E are worried about, which is a good thing.
You say that you've been fobbed off by your GP but no mention of what they think the issue is.
The next thing to so is to see what the problem might be. Make an appt with your doctor and say that you're worried about it as it isn't improving any.
The thing to bear in mind is that there aren't any quick fixes and painkillers are standard issue initially, but if it's 12 weeks now you should be able to get some kind of answer.
Due to seeing my gp so much, ive actually had 3 could be's of 3 differant GPS.
I 1stly got told it could be chronic sciatica, was then told it could be a blocked artery in my leg, and then finally, was told it could be some form of athritis in my hip. I just cant see why if they dont actually know what it is, they dont just send me for a scan to see if anything is going on x
A scan? Of what? A scan won't show a blocked artery or sciatica and doesn't always show arthritic changes. You need to see the GP as the usual "rest and see what happens" time frame has expired. (this is normal as most pain resolves, so don't worry about thinking you've been fobbed off, this is normal) They need to start looking now at the possible causes.
