I suffer from Peripheral Neuropathy caused by B12 deficiency. I have been on the B12 injections for 9 months now and although my symptoms have relieved greatly, I still have some bad days (as well as nerve damage on my left side). I have been scheduled to take the Covid Vaccine (Pfeizer) in a few weeks but am concerned about the possible effects it will have on my PN. I'm trying to find some information/data/experiences and if anyone can shed any light on this matter, I would be very grateful. Is it safe?
I have PN and took the covid 19 Pfizer vaccine and no major side effects. I did ask my PD about taking the vaccine. Best to ask your neurologist and/or PD to take in consideration your medical conditions.
I have widespread neuropathy (feet, legs up to my waist and hands and arms up to my elbows. Mine was caused by b12 deficiency/pernicious anemia which was undiagnosed for over a year after neuropathy symptoms (stupid me). I had my first Pfeizer vaccine 2 weeks ago with only slight muscle aches for a couple of days. No negative effects with my neuropathy. I hope this helps.
Hi. Make sure your injection for Covid19 is on the right arm. I had mine done a couple weeks ago (Astra-Zeneca) and had no adverse effects. You should fell much better after a couple of days. Then it should be easier getting your next one.
